Instructions
1. Read a circus-themed decodable text.
2. Identify tricky words and sound them out.
3. Practise identifying sounds in different positions.
4. Write words with similar patterns.

Celebrate decoding attempts even when not perfect.
Assessment
Assess against Early Learning Goals (ELGs). Document evidence of 'expected' or 'exceeding' descriptors. Note: independent application of skills, ability to explain reasoning, and capacity to build on prior learning. Evaluate decoding accuracy and sound identification.
