Instructions
SECURING THE START: Tie the lace through the first hole so it doesn't pull through. This prevents frustration from losing progress.
TEACHING IN-OUT PATTERN: 'Push the lace through from the front, pull it out from the back. Now find the next hole!' Consistent verbal cues help.
BUILDING COMPLEXITY: Start with large holes far apart, progress to smaller holes and more complex card shapes.
CONNECTING TO SEWING: 'This is how sewing works — in and out, in and out!' Making connections to real-world skills adds purpose.
