Instructions
MODELLING STACKING: Build a small tower slowly, narrating: 'One on top... two on top... can I put three?' Then invite baby to knock it down — they love this part!
ENCOURAGING PLACEMENT: Guide baby's hand to place a block on top. At first they'll mainly enjoy knocking down, but gradually they'll attempt stacking themselves.
VARYING MATERIALS: Offer different stacking items — cups that nest, soft blocks, cardboard boxes. Each requires slightly different motor control.
CELEBRATING BOTH ACTIONS: Praise both stacking and knocking: 'You put one on top!' and 'Crash! You knocked it all down!' Both are important motor skills.
