Instructions
CHOOSING APPROPRIATE TOYS: For new walkers, weighted push carts give stability. Pull-along toys work best for confident walkers who can look behind them.
CREATING SIMPLE ROUTES: Set up a clear path with gentle turns. As confidence grows, add soft obstacles to navigate around.
WALKING ALONGSIDE: Walk beside the child, matching their pace. Offer a hand if they wobble but let them push independently.
ADDING PURPOSE: 'Can you push the shopping trolley to the kitchen?' 'Pull the dog for a walk to the garden!' Purposeful movement motivates more than aimless walking.
