Instructions
TEACHING BELLY BREATHING: 'Put your breathing buddy on your tummy. Breathe in — make your buddy rise up! Breathe out — buddy goes down.' Visual feedback helps children understand deep breathing.
PROGRESSIVE RELAXATION: 'Squeeze your toes tight... now relax them. Squeeze your legs... now relax.' Working through body parts teaches body awareness.
MOVING MINDFULLY: 'Walk as slowly as you possibly can. Feel each foot touch the ground. What do you notice?' Slow, intentional movement develops control.
CONNECTING TO EMOTIONS: 'When you feel angry, take three big breaths. When you feel worried, squeeze and relax your hands.' Linking physical strategies to emotional regulation.
