STARTING WITH FINGER KNITTING: Wrap wool around fingers and pull loops over. It's the simplest knitting and produces a chain quickly.
INTRODUCING FRENCH KNITTING: Wrap wool around the spool pegs, lift the lower loop over the upper. 'Hook the bottom loop over the top — lift it over!' Repetitive but meditative.
SUPPORTING PATIENCE: These activities require sustained effort for visible results. 'Look how long your cord is getting! Keep going!'
VALUING PRODUCTS: Use finished cords for bracelets, bookmarks, or coiled coasters. 'You MADE this!'
