Instructions
TEACHING TRAVERSE TECHNIQUE: 'Move sideways along the wall. Both hands hold on, one foot moves, then the other. Like a crab!'
ENCOURAGING ROUTE PLANNING: 'Look at the holds — which one will you grab next? Plan your moves!' This develops strategic thinking.
MANAGING FEAR: Some children are nervous of height. Never force. Let them climb one hold and come down. Gradually they'll go further.
CELEBRATING PROGRESS: 'Last week you traversed to here. Today you got all the way to the end! Amazing progress!'
