Instructions
TEACHING SPRINT STARTS: 'On your marks — stand behind the line. Get set — lean forward. GO!' Practise the starting commands and explosive start.
MEASURING JUMPS: 'Stand with toes behind the line, swing your arms, and jump as far as you can!' Measure and record. 'You jumped 80cm! Can you beat it?'
THROWING FOR DISTANCE: 'Arm right back, step forward, and throw as far as you can!' Measure throws. Focus on personal bests, not beating others.
RECORDING PERSONAL BESTS: Keep records. 'Last week you jumped 75cm, today you jumped 82cm! You're improving!' Personal progress is motivating.
