TEACHING RULES CLEARLY: Demonstrate each game with a small group first. 'Mr Wolf stands at the end. We all shout the time. When he says DINNER TIME — run!'
ENSURING INCLUSION: Change the 'wolf' or 'catcher' regularly. Everyone should have a turn in every role.
DEVELOPING STRATEGY: 'How can you creep closer without Grandmother seeing you move? Move when her back is turned!' Strategy develops thinking.
MODELLING GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP: 'You got caught — well done for running so fast! Now you're the catcher!' Reframe catching/being caught positively.
