Instructions
STARTING WITH SCARVES: Scarves float down slowly, giving children time to position their hands. 'Throw it up and catch it before it hits the floor!'
PROGRESSING TO BEANBAGS: Beanbags don't bounce away when dropped, making them forgiving. 'Cup your hands like a bowl. Here it comes!'
TEACHING READY POSITION: 'Hands out in front, fingers spread, watch the ball — catch!' Consistent cues build the skill.
BUILDING DISTANCE: Start very close (arm's length) and gradually increase distance. Success builds confidence for harder catches.
