Instructions
USING CORRECT PENCIL HOLD: Gently encourage tripod grip with triangular pencils that naturally position fingers correctly.
STARTING IN SAND: Draw patterns in sand trays first — lines down, lines across, circles. The sensory feedback helps children feel the movement.
MODELLING ON WHITEBOARDS: Draw patterns on a whiteboard while children watch: 'Down, down, down. Across, across, across. Round and round.' Then they copy.
PROGRESSING TO PAPER: Move to dotted patterns on paper. 'Start at the dot and follow the line down.' Consistent starting points develop good habits.
