Instructions
INTRODUCING CALMLY: Sit with the baby in a quiet space. Slowly turn the bottle and watch together. Narrate softly: 'Look at the sparkles falling down... slowly, slowly... so calm and gentle.'
MODELLING WATCHING: Show babies how to watch the movement. Your own calm, focused attention teaches them to be still and observe. 'I'm watching the glitter. It's so peaceful. Can you see it?'
USING DURING DISTRESS: When babies are upset, offer a sensory bottle alongside comfort: 'Let's have a cuddle and watch the sparkles together.' The visual focus combined with physical comfort supports regulation.
LINKING TO BREATHING: For older babies, connect the visual to breathing: 'Let's breathe slowly like the glitter falls. In... and out... like the sparkles settling down.'
