Instructions
FACILITATING PROXIMITY: Place babies near each other during play so they can observe: 'Look, Amara is shaking the rattle too! You're both playing with rattles!' Draw attention to peers.
PROVIDING DUPLICATES: Offer multiple versions of the same toy to reduce conflict and enable parallel play: 'Here's a cup for you and a cup for Theo. You've both got cups!'
NARRATING SOCIAL MOMENTS: When babies notice each other, narrate: 'Mia is watching you! She likes what you're doing. She's smiling at you!' Help babies understand social cues.
SUPPORTING EARLY INTERACTIONS: When babies reach for each other or offer toys, celebrate: 'You're giving the ball to Leo! That's so kind! Leo looks happy!' Support these early social attempts.
