MODELLING GENTLE TOUCH: Demonstrate gentle touch on toys first: 'Stroke Teddy gently... nice and soft... gentle hands.' Then guide baby's hand: 'You try—gentle hands on Teddy. That's lovely!'

BABY MASSAGE: With parent permission, offer simple hand or foot massage. Narrate: 'I'm being very gentle with your feet. Soft, soft touches. Does that feel nice?' Watch for positive responses.

TEACHING GENTLE WITH PEERS: When babies reach for each other, guide their hands: 'Gentle touch on Mia's arm. Soft hands. You're being kind.' Redirect grabbing without shaming.

RESPECTING BODY AUTONOMY: Even with babies, respect when they don't want to be touched. If a baby pulls away, say: 'You don't want a cuddle right now. That's okay. I'm here when you're ready.'
