To develop attention and listening skills by identifying everyday environmental sounds.

Materials
- Recordings of everyday sounds (doorbell, phone, kettle, dog barking)
- Matching picture cards
- Comfortable listening space
Instructions
Play one sound at a time and build suspense: 'Shh! Listen! What's that sound? I think I know… do you know?' Give children time to process.
Show matching picture cards: 'Was it the doorbell or the telephone? Let's listen again…' Support identification with visual choices.
Extend vocabulary: 'That's a kettle! A kettle boils water. It goes whiiiiistle when it's ready. Have you heard a kettle at home?'
Increase difficulty by playing two sounds in sequence: 'First we heard the dog, then we heard the car. What did we hear first?'
