Instructions
Offer genuine choices: 'Would you like apple or banana today? Milk or water?' Wait for children to say the word rather than just pointing—but accept pointing if they're not yet ready to speak.
Model full sentences: 'You'd like apple, please. Say: apple please! Lovely manners.' Gently extend single words into phrases.
Talk about the food: 'How does the apple taste? Is it sweet or sour? Crunchy or soft?' Introduce taste and texture vocabulary naturally.
Use snack time for social language: 'Can you pass the jug to Aisha? Say: here you are, Aisha!' Practise sharing and thanking.
