Objectives
- Students will identify and mimic different emotions shown by clowns.
Materials
- Emotion cards with clown faces
- Mirror
Instructions
1. Show clown faces with different emotions.
2. Ask children to name and copy each emotion.
3. Discuss when they feel each emotion.
Educator tip
Use a mirror so children can see themselves making faces.
Assessment
Observe and note: sustained engagement, sensory responses, early vocalisations, and attachment behaviours. Document using the Characteristics of Effective Learning framework (Playing and Exploring). Check emotion vocabulary and expression.
