Instructions
Children use geometric shape cut-outs to create scenes, identifying and describing each shape used.
Educator tip
Prepare ziplock bags with pre-sorted shapes so children can easily access what they need.
Assessment
Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Teacher observation of student's creation and ability to comprehend and follow through expected tasks.
