Instructions
USING LARGE TARGETS: Start with large targets close by — a big bucket, a hoop on the ground. Ensure success is achievable.
TEACHING OVERARM THROW: 'Arm up high, look at the target, throw!' Demonstrate the overarm action. Underarm works too — both are valuable.
INCREASING DISTANCE: As accuracy improves, gradually move the target further away. 'Can you hit the bucket from here? How about from here?'
MAKING IT PLAYFUL: 'Throw the beanbag into the dragon's mouth!' (a decorated box). Stories and games make practice feel like play.
