Instructions
TEACHING SAFE RUNNING: 'Look where you're going! Swing your arms! Run on your toes!' Simple running cues improve technique and safety.
PRACTISING STOPPING: Stopping safely is harder than starting. Play 'ready, steady, go... STOP!' Practice freezing on command.
VARYING SPEED: 'Run fast like a cheetah! Now slow like a tortoise! Now fast again!' Changing speed develops control.
MAKING IT FUN: Chase games are universally loved. 'I'm going to catch you! Run!' Simple chasing develops speed and agility naturally.
