Instructions
TEACHING RUNNING STITCH: 'In, pull through, back in nearby, pull through again.' Consistent stitch length comes with practice.
MAKING REAL PRODUCTS: 'We're sewing a bookmark you can actually use!' Real products motivate careful, sustained effort.
MANAGING TANGLES: Thread tangles are frustrating. Teach: 'Pull gently. If it tangles, stop and ask for help.' Short thread lengths tangle less.
DECORATING BEFORE SEWING: 'Design your bookmark first — draw on the felt, cut out shapes to stick on. Then we'll sew the edges!'
