TEACHING GRIP: 'Grip the rope really tight with both hands! Don't let go!' Show hand-over-hand climbing for rope.
BENCH PULLING: Children lie on a bench and pull themselves along using a rope or the bench edges. This develops upper body strength excellently.
ROPE SWINGING: Hold the rope, lift feet, and swing! Start with adult pushing gently. 'Hold tight! Swing!'
SUPERVISING CLOSELY: Rope activities require close supervision. Stand ready to support. Mats underneath for falls.
