Instructions
MODELLING TOOL USE: Show how to hold a spade: 'Scoop up, lift up, tip into the bucket!' Demonstrate filling and pouring movements.
PROVIDING PURPOSE: 'Can you fill this bucket right to the top?' 'Pour the sand through the funnel!' Purposeful activities motivate sustained engagement.
DEVELOPING BILATERAL SKILLS: Encourage holding the bucket with one hand while scooping with the other. This bilateral coordination is essential for later writing.
EXTENDING VOCABULARY: Narrate textures and actions: 'The dry sand is pouring like water! The wet sand stays in the spade!'
