ADDING LOW HEIGHT: Progress to planks or beams just inches off the ground. 'Walk along the plank — you're a pirate walking the plank!'
OFFERING SUPPORT: Hold one hand at first, then a finger, then walk beside without touching. Gradually build independence.
VARYING THE CHALLENGE: Walk forwards, then try sideways. Carry a beanbag. Step over obstacles on the beam. Each variation develops different balance skills.
