- Cones for turns
- Music for rhythm
- Pattern cards showing footwork
Instructions
DEMONSTRATING PATTERNS: Show each footwork pattern slowly first: 'Two feet in each square — left, right, left, right. Now move to the next square!'
BUILDING SPEED: Start slow for accuracy, then build speed: 'Now try faster! Light feet, quick steps!' Speed develops with confidence.
VARYING PATTERNS: Simple (two feet in), lateral (side steps), hopping (one foot per square), in-out (feet in then straddling). Each develops different coordination.
MAKING IT FUN: 'You're a ninja moving silently!' 'Quick feet like a dancer!' Imagery makes drills enjoyable rather than tedious.
