Instructions
CREATING THE BOX: 'This is YOUR special box! It's all about YOU! Let's put some special things in it. What's important to you? What makes you happy?'
ADDING TO IT: Throughout the term, add achievements: a painting they're proud of, a photo of them being kind, a note about something special they said. 'Let's add this to your box!'
SHARING WITH OTHERS: Let children show their box during circle time if they choose: 'Would you like to show everyone your special box? Tell us about this photo!'
BUILDING IDENTITY: Reference the box for confidence: 'Look at all these amazing things in your box! You're kind, you're clever, you're creative, you're YOU! And YOU are wonderful!'
