• Dolls or dress-up pieces

Instructions

Show images and ask, 'Who helps us when we are sick?' Match items to jobs.

Educator tip

Let children role-play helping jobs in dramatic play.

Assessment

Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Monitor word use and image recognition.
