Instructions

1. Choose 2–3 rhymes (e.g., 'This is the Way We Go to School').

2. Encourage movement and gestures for each rhyme.

3. Repeat and act out with props.

Match rhymes to the community helper of the day.

Assessment

Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Observe participation, rhythm, and verbal recall.
