Objectives
- Observe and shake sealed sensory bottles with helper themes
Materials
- Clear plastic bottles
- Blue water with glitter (police)
- Red water with foam (firefighter)
- Sealed securely
Instructions
1. Present one bottle at a time.
2. Shake gently and watch contents swirl.
3. Roll bottle on floor for tracking.
4. Name colours and helpers.
Educator tip
Hot glue lids shut for safety. Always supervise.
Assessment
Observe and note: sustained engagement, sensory responses, early vocalisations, and attachment behaviours. Document using the Characteristics of Effective Learning framework (Playing and Exploring). Watch for visual tracking, reaching, and shaking attempts.
