Instructions
Demonstrate: 'I'm going to make a sound and pass it to Lily. Clap clap! Now Lily copies—clap clap! And passes it to… Jake!' Keep the circle small (3-4 children).
Start with simple sounds: a clap, a stamp, a 'baa'. Build to sequences: clap-stamp, or two different animal sounds.
Vary what's passed: whispers, funny faces, animal sounds, word patterns. 'Let\'s pass the word banana! Ba-NA-na!' around the circle.
Celebrate the game completing the circle: 'The sound went all the way around! Everyone listened and copied! Shall we try a new one?'
