Materials
- A familiar classroom toy to hide
- Clue cards with picture hints
- Magnifying glass for investigating
Instructions
Set the scene dramatically: 'Oh no! Teddy is missing! He was here this morning and now he's gone! We need to find him. What does Teddy look like?'
Encourage descriptions: 'He's brown and fluffy. He has a red ribbon. He's not very big. If we tell everyone what he looks like, they can help us find him!'
Give clues: 'I found this clue! The picture shows… a bookshelf! Should we look near the bookshelf? Let's go and investigate!'
When found, celebrate: 'You found him! Where was he? Behind the bookshelf! He was hiding behind the bookshelf! Well done, detectives!'
