Kitchen Role Play Chatter
To develop food-related vocabulary and social language through home corner cooking play.

Instructions
Enter the play as a guest: 'Mmm, something smells delicious! What are you cooking? Is it soup? What did you put in it?' Ask genuinely curious questions.
Model cooking commentary: 'I'm going to chop the vegetables. Chop chop chop! Now I'll put them in the pan. Stir stir stir! It's getting hot!'
Encourage menu descriptions: 'What's for dinner? Can you tell me what you're making? Is it spicy or sweet?' Build food vocabulary.
Practise serving language: 'Here you are! Would you like some more? Is it tasty? My compliments to the chef!' Introduce restaurant-style phrases.
