- Collection bags
- Camera or tablet for photographing finds
Instructions
Choose a target colour: 'Today we're looking for RED! Can you see anything red? Look carefully…' Give children time to scan their environment.
Celebrate every find: 'You found a red flower! And there—a red car! Red is everywhere! What else is red?' Keep energy and enthusiasm high.
Extend descriptions: 'That post box is bright red. It's a tall, bright red post box. Can you see any other red things near the post box?'
Compare shades: 'This leaf is dark red, and this berry is light red. They're both red but they look a bit different!'
