Instructions
FACILITATING SHARED PLAY: Position babies at the water tray together. Narrate their shared experience: 'You're both splashing! Look—Amara is pouring water and you're catching it!'
MODELLING SOCIAL WATER PLAY: Show how to pour water for someone else, fill their cup, share boats: 'Shall I pour some for you? Here comes the water—splash!'
MANAGING SPLASHING: When babies splash, they may inadvertently splash others. Guide gently: 'Gentle splashing—the water went on Theo's face! Let's splash down into the tray.' Don't over-restrict.
BUILDING VOCABULARY: Use rich water language alongside social language: 'You're sharing the water! You're pouring for your friend! That's so kind!'
