Instructions
PRIORITISING CONNECTION: Schedule deliberate one-to-one time with each key child daily. Even 5 minutes of focused attention builds secure attachment. Put your phone away, be fully present.
FOLLOWING THE BABY'S LEAD: Don't plan an activity—just be together. If baby wants to babble, babble back. If they want to be held, hold them. If they want to explore, watch them.
NARRATING GENTLY: Chat about what you see: 'You're looking at the light on the ceiling. It's making patterns. Your fingers are opening and closing.' Gentle narration without demands.
BEING STILL: In busy settings, stillness is rare and valuable. Sit quietly with a baby. Let silence be comfortable. Being peacefully present together is profoundly relationship-building.
