Instructions
Create a calming sensory experience that introduces the magic of stars to our youngest learners through safe, contained exploration.
Educator tip
Create several bottles with different amounts of glitter and gel for varied visual effects. Thicker gel creates slower movement, which is often more calming for younger infants.
Assessment
Observe and note: sustained engagement, sensory responses, early vocalisations, and attachment behaviours. Document using the Characteristics of Effective Learning framework (Playing and Exploring). Observe whether children track the moving glitter with their eyes and show sustained interest in the sensory bottle.
