Educator tip
Some children may be hesitant to enter enclosed spaces. Let them watch peers first and never force participation. Offer an open-ended alternative like crawling under a sheet 'tent' instead.

Observe and note: sustained engagement, sensory responses, early vocalisations, and attachment behaviours. Document using the Characteristics of Effective Learning framework (Playing and Exploring). Note children's willingness to enter the tunnel, their crawling coordination, and their joy in repeating the activity.
