Materials
- Homemade playdough in white and gray
- Silver glitter mixed into dough
- Glow-in-the-dark paint or powder (non-toxic)
- Round biscuit cutters
- Rolling pins (child-safe)

Educator tip
If glow-in-the-dark materials are not available, add extra silver glitter for a shimmering effect that captures the moonlight concept.
Assessment
Observe and note: sustained engagement, sensory responses, early vocalisations, and attachment behaviours. Document using the Characteristics of Effective Learning framework (Playing and Exploring). Note children's willingness to touch and manipulate the dough and their reactions when the lights are dimmed to reveal the glow.
