Instructions
1. Each child chooses a helper to research.
2. Find 3-5 facts from books or interviews.
3. Create a poster with pictures and words.
4. Practise presentation with a partner.
5. Present to the class using speaking voice.
Educator tip
Provide sentence starters: 'This helper...', 'They use...', 'They help by...'
Assessment
Assess against Early Learning Goals (ELGs). Document evidence of 'expected' or 'exceeding' descriptors. Note: independent application of skills, ability to explain reasoning, and capacity to build on prior learning. Evaluate research accuracy, poster organization, and presentation clarity using a simple rubric.
