- Fraction insets
- Decimal Fraction Board
- Calculator
Instructions
1. Show 50% card, 0.5 on the decimal board, and ½ fraction inset. 2. All three are equal. 3. Compute 25% of 80: 0.25 × 80 = 20. Verify by dividing 80 into quarters. 4. Compute 10% of 60: 6. 5. Compute a 15% tip on a $40 meal. 6. Compute a 20% discount on a $25 shirt. 7. Convert a test score: 18/20 = 90%. 8. Practice with many real quantities. 9. Compose word problems involving percent.
