Start with what children know. 'Point to your nose! Your elbow! Your knee!' Make body vocabulary fun through games and songs. Check for any gaps in knowledge.

Explore the senses systematically. 'Today we're using our sense of smell. Close your eyes and tell me what you can smell!' Create sensory activities for each sense.

Discuss internal body parts simply. 'Your heart is beating inside your chest. Put your hand here—can you feel it? What does it do?' Use simple, accurate information.

Explore how the body moves. 'When you bend your arm, which muscle is working? Can you feel it get hard?' Let children discover how their bodies work.

Discuss staying healthy. 'What do we need to do to keep our bodies healthy? Yes—eat good food, exercise, sleep, and wash!' Make connections to daily routines.

Use anatomical vocabulary accurately. 'This is your femur—the biggest bone in your body!' Children can learn proper names for body parts.
