Materials
- Warm water
- Salt (6 tsp per 1/4 cup water)
- Blue food colouring (3 drops per batch)
- White painting paper
- Brushes
- Smocks
Assessment
Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Teacher observation of student's creativity and understanding of evaporation.
