MAKING IT A TEAM EFFORT: 'It's tidy-up time! We're all going to work together to make our room lovely again. What shall you tidy first?'

USING A SONG: Sing a consistent tidy-up song so children know what's expected. Music makes it fun rather than a chore: 'Tidy up, tidy up, everybody everywhere!'

GIVING SPECIFIC TASKS: Rather than 'tidy up', give specific jobs: 'Can you put all the red bricks in the red box? Brilliant! Now the cars—where do they live?'

CELEBRATING TEAMWORK: 'Look what we did TOGETHER! Our room looks amazing! Everyone helped—Elena did the books, Leo did the bricks, Mia did the cars. Teamwork!'
