CREATING SCENARIOS: Use puppets to act out familiar problems: 'Bear wants to play with the train but Rabbit has it. Bear is sad. What should Bear do?' Let children suggest solutions.
VALIDATING IDEAS: Accept all suggestions without judgment: 'You said Bear could ask nicely. That's a great idea! Let's try it. Bear says: Please may I have a turn?'
ACTING OUT SOLUTIONS: Let children see consequences: 'Bear asked nicely and Rabbit said yes after two more minutes! Bear feels happy now. Asking nicely worked!'
CONNECTING TO REAL LIFE: When real conflicts arise, reference the puppets: 'Remember when Bear needed to ask nicely? Could you try that? What would Bear do?'
