PAINTING EMOTIONS: 'Let's paint feelings faces on these stones! Choose which emotion you want to paint. Happy? Sad? Angry? Calm? Paint the face on your stone.'
MAKING THEM TACTILE: The weight and texture of stones is naturally calming. 'Hold your calm stone. Feel how smooth and cool it is. Squeeze it gently. Does it help you feel calm?'
USING AS TOOLS: 'Keep your feelings stones in your pocket or in your tray. When you have a big feeling, hold the matching stone. It helps your body know what feeling you're having.'
SHARING STONES: Children can show stones to communicate when words are hard: 'You're showing me the angry stone. You feel angry. Thank you for telling me. How can I help?'
