CREATING THE ATMOSPHERE: Dim lights slightly, play gentle music, speak softly: 'This is our mindful colouring time. We're going to colour slowly and carefully. Notice how calm your body feels.'
GUIDING MINDFULNESS: 'Focus on the colour you're using. Watch it fill the space. Notice how it feels to move the pencil slowly. There's no rush. Just colour and breathe.'
AVOIDING JUDGEMENT: 'There's no right or wrong way to colour mindfully. Choose any colours you like. It doesn't have to look perfect. It's about how it makes you FEEL.'
REFLECTING AFTERWARDS: 'How does your body feel now? Calmer? More relaxed? Mindful colouring is a strategy you can use anytime you feel stressed or worried.'
