Materials

• Dinosaurs (stuffed, soft, safe)

Instructions

Place a few stuffed dinosaurs on the floor. Guide the child to grasp and explore one at a time. Rotate slowly.

Educator tip

Describe the dinosaur's texture and colours using clear, slow speech.

Assessment

Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Observe grasp strength and sustained attention to one object.
