Instructions
Show children how to place red dinos on red mats, blue dinos on blue mats, etc. Provide modelling.
Educator tip
Say colour names slowly and reinforce with gestures.

Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Observe matching attempts and verbal cues.
