Instructions
Train students as Character Ambassadors who model and promote character throughout the school. Develop ambassador responsibilities: greeting visitors, modelling behaviour, recognising others' character, helping with character initiatives. Create visible recognition (badges, sashes) so ambassadors are identifiable. Conduct regular ambassador meetings to discuss challenges and celebrate successes. Rotate ambassadors so many students experience this leadership.
Educator tip
Ambassadorship should be earned through demonstrated character, not academic performance or popularity.
Assessment
Assess against Early Learning Goals (ELGs). Document evidence of 'expected' or 'exceeding' descriptors. Note: independent application of skills, ability to explain reasoning, and capacity to build on prior learning. Observe modelling consistency, promotion activities, and leadership quality.
