Instructions
Set up a ticket writing station where children create 'boarding passes' by writing their name and destination.
Educator tip
Display a world map nearby and let children choose real destinations to 'fly to.'
Assessment
Observe and note: ability to follow two-step instructions, use of new vocabulary in context, early problem-solving strategies, and sustained shared thinking episodes. Assess against Development Matters age-band expectations. Observe writing attempts, letter formation, and willingness to engage in writing.
